King’s College Hospital | Transformation Programme
Client
King’s College Hospital
Duration
24 Months
Scope
Design and implementation of transformation programmes at the Princess Royal University Hospital. Three programmes were developed, Outpatients, Theatres, and Urgent and Emergency Flow. Each programme was developed in partnership with care group stakeholders and with executive sponsorship. Projects were based upon organisational need and priorities provided by Operational Planning Guidance.
Robust governance was designed for each workstream, and reporting metrics clearly defined. The Transformation Team developed and held excellent relationships across the organisation, from ward teams to the site executive.
All members of the team had extensive experience in working within an acute setting, this was combined with management consulting experience which allowed an approach of credibility and professionalism.
Patient flow improvements included internal and external pathways including the development of a hospital at home service, and the establishment of MADEs to support effective and timely discharge.
